Gwilym featured on new album “Ocean Floor” with Ayanna Witter Johnson and the LSO Percussion Ensemble
‘OCEAN FLOOR’, is the new album release from British singer, songwriter, pianist and cellist Ayanna Witter-Johnson in collaboration with the London Symphony Orchestra Percussion Ensemble.
The 12-track live album explores stories relating to Witter-Johnson’s ancestral heritage, culture and identity, draws on the symbolism of the ocean through storytelling.

As part of its Bicentenary celebrations, the Academy has invited 200 composers to write 200 new works for solo instrument or voice.
The recordings and scores for these works are now available, creating a new library of varied contemporary works by many of the world’s leading composers of which Gwilym is one.

Gwilym on tour in South America with “An Evening with Pat Metheny”
Gwilym will be back on tour in September and October with jazz legend guitarist Pat Metheny. The quartet includes Pat, Gwilym, Linda Oh (bass) and Antonio Sanchez (drums). Gwilym plays a reworking of »Move!« for jazz trio and orchestra
In the 9th symphony concert on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 7 p.m., Gwilym complete with Conor Chaplin on bass and Martin France on drums and the Symphoniker Hamburg will share the large stage of the Laeiszhalle.

Gwilym’s trio with Mike and Hermine will be on tour in October in the North of England. The two founder members of the much loved group “The Impossible Gentlemen” have established a unique rapport through their love of music of all kinds from rock to classical, jazz and folk. They met Hermine Deurloo at Ambleside Festival in 2019 and found an instant musical rapport.
