Acoustic Triangle

Malcolm Creese – double bass
Tim Garland – saxophones and bass clarinet
Gwilym Simcock – piano

Acoustic Triangle, the award-winning jazz trio, celebrates its twentieth year this year. However with the current lockdown the tour will now take place in 2021.  Watch out for updates. Above all the band is well known for its performances in sacred buildings and concert halls around the world. The players’ unique ability to move effortlessly between jazz, classical and world music styles

has led to exciting collaborations with the King’s Singers, Royal Northern Sinfonia, Liane Carroll, Carolyn Sampson, Richard Rodney Bennett and the Choir of Westminster Abbey, as well as an on-screen appearance in the television series Lewis. The programme will include music by Tim Garland, Gwilym Simcock, Cole Porter and Maurice Ravel, and at Swaledale the trio will invite long-term friends and colleagues the Sacconi Quartet to join them on stage.

“A trio of world-class virtuosi…exquisitely passionate and inspired” BBC Music Magazine

“Exultant, lyrical, mellow and frequently dazzling” The Guardian
